The voice of an elderly actress commands the stage, crackling to life through a radio control station operated by her granddaughter...
In 2001, Hand2Mouth ensemble member Erin Leddy lived with her grandmother for a year and recorded her memoirs. These tapes form the foundation of an emotionally explosive performance - My Mind Is Like An Open Meadow is a celebration of the connection between two separate generations of theatre performers.
Hand2Mouth was founded in 2000 and have performed at La MaMa E.T.C. (New York, NY), Ontological Hysteric Incubator (New York, NY), Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, On the Boards (Seattle), New Orleans Fringe, the PuSh Festival in Vancouver BC and furyFACTORY Festival (San Francisco).
