East to Edinburgh

Preparing for a Scottish debut!

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland is the largest arts festival in the world, and a true celebration of some of the best emerging and established performing arts in the world.

East to Edinburgh (E2E) is a brilliant opportunity for US theater companies to introduce work in NYC with up to 3 performances in the intimacy of 59E59 Theaters’ studio space while fine-tuning performances just weeks ahead of their Scottish debut. First come, first serve for companies with a confirmed spot for the upcoming Edinburgh Festival. We offer a low-cost rental package, 100% box office paid to companies, free technical assistance, and a marketing package that includes website listing, promotional emails, and social media posts.

Applications for E2E 2025 will open in mid-January of 2025. Check this page for updates in early January 2025.

Annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe Roadshow

Each January, 59 hosts staff from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and invites local theater makers to meet them and hear advice along with first-hand tips from artists who have previously performed at the Festival.

Thinking about whether 2025 is a good year to perform at the Fringe?

The Fringe Society team is heading to New York in January for a free face-to-face information session where they'll guide you through the initial steps of bringing a show to Edinburgh.

The session will take place on Sunday January 12,  2025 in Theater A at 59E59 Theaters.

There'll be an introductory presentation from 11:00am–12:00pm, followed by an informal opportunity to meet the Fringe Society team and venue representatives.

Seats will be available on the day on a first-come, first-served basis but we strongly recommend registering in advance to avoid disappointment.
