Created, Directed, and Performed by Ramesh Meyyappan

With Naomi Livingstone and Chris Alexander

Inspired by Madame Butterfly, the original short story by John Luther Long, this striking show explores themes of love, disappointment, loss, and hope. This fantastical wordless piece uses visually poetic narrative and beautiful, handcrafted puppets to tell the tragic tale of Butterfly, a kitemaker, whose lover has left her alone and isolated.
Scotland-based Singaporean, Ramesh Meyyappan is a critically-acclaimed theater creator who develops performances using an eclectic mix of visual and physical theater styles.
