Written and Performed by: Jack Finnegan
Directed by: Tralen Doler
Journey from the dusty streets of Guatemala City to the mountainous megalopolises of South America...venture through markets in Marrakech and Shanghai...pick at the scabs of history in Berlin and Istanbul...kiss the coastlines of Australia and Canada...
From the dank streets of New Delhi to the bright lights of Tokyo to the cold July winds of Cape Town, Finnegan embarked on a mission of cultural diplomacy, examining the contours of life in global cities, and taking to public squares to perform a story about America - an act of goodwill which provoked powerful responses: some delightful, several harrowing, all very human.
The final act of a three-year trilogy of works, City Love Song: Home sees Jack Finnegan return to 59E59, completing his journey in the same city in which it began.
