Belfast's newest theatre company brings HURRICANE to New York following sold-out runs at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre, London's Soho Theatre, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2003, where Richard Dormer was named Best Actor out of more than 1,500 productions. Dormer stars as Alex 'Hurricane' Higgins in an astonishing, devastating portrayal of the life of Northern Ireland's World Champion snooker player. For what is surely one of the most physical performances ever seen on stage, author Richard Dormer won The Stage Best Actor Award and the BBC Stewart Parker Award for new writing. For those who like high-voltage theatre this is an evening not to be missed.
