From the creative team at Godlight Theatre Company, who rbought the interantionally accaliemd production of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE to the 2005 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, comes FAHRENHEIT 451. Ray Bradbury's play (based on his classic novel) of censorship and defiance, is as resonant today as it was when it was first published more than 50 years ago. The system was simple. Everyone understood it. Books were for burning along with the houses in which they were hidden. Guy Montag was a young fireman whoe job it was to start fires, and he enjoyed his job. He never questioned anything until he met a seventeen-year-old girl who told him of a past when people were not afraid. Then Guy met a professor who told im of a future in which people could think. And Guy Montag suddenly realized what he had to do...
